How to claim compensation for diminished social function
What is compensation for diminished social function?
Am I entitled to compensation for diminished social function?
If you have suffered an accident at work or if you have been found to have an occupational disease, you are entitled to compensation for diminished social function if:
- you are an employee; or
- a person who is covered by the personal scope of accident insurance (see Persons Entitled under Accident Insurance (SK)).
Compensation for diminished social function is awarded on the basis of a medical opinion in which the assessing doctor assesses diminished social function on a scale as a condition related to health damage that has been proven to have adverse consequences.
How do I apply for compensation for diminished social function?
You apply for the benefit by submitting an Application for Awarding of Compensation for Diminished Social Function (SK). Do not forget to include a Medical Assessment of Your Pain and Diminished Social Function (SK) filled out in the section ‘B. Evaluation of Diminished Social Function’ by the assessing doctor (the doctor who last treated you regarding the damage to health).
For more information, see the ACCIDENT INSURANCE – COMPENSATION FOR DIMINISHED SOCIAL FUNCTION (SK) section.
